Two weekends ago, we celebrated in a big way... for a 7 year old. It was our weekend to host our friend's three children (remember our date weekend to NYC? this was their weekend sans kids). After consulting our hectic schedules of soccer games, Zack coaching said soccer games, teaching Sunday School and Zack's travel to DC, why wouldn't we plan Alex's birthday party while parenting 5 children and sandwiching the party in between a morning soccer game and an afternoon baseball game? That doesn't seem crazy at all.
Thankfully it was a wonderful day with no rain (first in 14 days without clouds and rain) and the sun just made everyone and everything seem better.
Here's a quick snapshot of the party. Pretty incredible we did all this in 2 hours. It doesn't even show the pre-party bouncing with the 5 kids or the post party dodge-ball bounce game. Or the fact the kids were exhausted from the "sleep over" the night before. Needless to say both children and adults were asleep by no later than 9pm that night.

At last! Thank you! It looks like a great party and a pack of happy children.
